Our favorite budget brand has been busy.

For a number of years, Timex metaphorically took a licking. For decades, the brand wasn’t really ever thought of in watch enthusiast circles as a brand worth paying attention to. It was mainly known for producing cheap quartz watches that were bought by people who didn’t care about watches. But throughout the dark years, Timex kept on ticking, just as it’s done since its 1854 founding as the Waterbury Clock Company.

These days, Timex is absolutely on fire. Under the steady leadership of designer and chief creative director Giorgio Galli, Timex has experienced a bona fide renaissance over the past half-decade. Fueled by the success of its reentry into mechanical watchmaking alongside a new knack for mining its extensive back catalog for vintage reissue fodder, Timex has suddenly become one of the hottest brands in the affordable watch segment, with hyped models selling out fast and often.

The brand is putting out bangers practically every week, so to help you keep track of it all, we’re rounding up all of the best new Timexes of 2024 right here. Bookmark this page and come back throughout the year, as you’re always going to find something new (and affordable).

The Best Timex Watches of 2024

Timex

Timex Q Timex Falcon Eye Chronograph

Timex’s most dedicated foray into the luxury sports watch genre boasts expensive looks at a bargain price thanks to its deep blue, Côtes de Genève-finished dial and flat-link integrated-style bracelet.

END. X Timex Q Series ‘Warp’ Watch

For this collab with hip menswear retailer END., Timex took the classic Q Timex into uncharted territory with a distorted, melted appearance that makes the watch appear as if it’s always being viewed underwater. The assymetric hands, warped numerals and faded, warped bezel all draw inspiration from Salvador Dali’s “The Persistence of Memory” and are meant to serve as a daily reminder to “use your time wisely”

Timex Q Timex Reissue 1971 Velocity

Timex continues to mine its 1970s past to great effect via its popular Q line. The Velocity is a modern reissue of a very sporty 1971 Timex, complete with a timing bezel and a motorsports-inspired checkered flag motif on the dial to go along with the bold burnt-orange seconds hand.

Timex Marlin Jet Automatic

The Marlin Jet isn’t a reissue of a vintage Timex like other Marlins. Instead, it draws broad inspiration from mid-century space-age design and incorporates some interesting design quirks as a result. Most notably is the large hesalite crystal that encapsulates the entire bezel, making for a visually interesting case — especially for the price.

Timex Q Timex Chronograph Blue Panda

Added after the original panda and reverse panda Q Timex Chronographs, this blue version boast a more modern look, trading in the faded cream color of its brethren for bright white accents to complement the brilliant blue dial. But there’s more going on here than a mere color change, as this version of the watch also gets an upgraded, PRX-adjacent bracelet.

Timex Marlin Moonphase

While most watches in Timex’s 1960s-inspired Marlin line feature mechanical movements, the brand went in a different direction for the Marlin Moonphase. Here, a quartz movement powers a triple calendar and moonphase, allowing the dressy, high-end complications to be had for a bargain price.

Timex x NN.07 “Original Tick Tock”

For Timex’s second collab with fashion brand NN.07, the two companies looked to encourage people to get off of social media and get outside with an adventurous watch — i.e., more tick tock, less TikTok. Using the Timex Expedition North Field Post 36mm as a base, this limited edition includes a stainless steel bracelet and opts for a more minimalist dial, with the 7 index and seconds hand in blue as a reference to NN.07.

Todd Snyder x Timex

Todd Snyder x Timex MK-1 Amalfi

Inspired by the original Timex Camper field watch of the 1980s, this Todd Snyder collab goes back even further with its styling to craft a stunning mid-century-inspired dress watch.

Huckberry

Timex x Huckberry Titanium Automatic Field Watch

A good-looking, easy-wearing field watch with a lightweight titanium case, a bulletproof automatic movement from Miyota and a dive watch-esque 200m water resistance? All for under $400? This may be the best collab Timex and Huckberry have ever come up with.
