Arc’teryx just launched a whole new suite of shoes for adventurers. And Gear Patrol’s Hayley Helms wonders: Did Arc’teryx accidentally make the perfect travel shoe?

Today we’re taking a look at cozy sandals, a new hydration blend and a casual long sleeve. This is Today in Gear.

The Ojai Collection by REEF

Going fast: Are those Birkenstocks? Nope, they’re a new sandal collection from REEF. These elevated slip-ons are easy on the eyes and comfortable to wear, with a leather lining that’s super soft against the skin. The Ojai Two Bar ($120) is a slide with two top-of-foot straps, the Ojai ($100) is a classic flip flop and the Ojai Slide ($110) is a classic slide. Some sizes are already sold out, so get your favorite pair while you still can.

Lululemon

Lululemon Champions Female Athletes (and Their Gear)

In case you missed it: We watched in awe as Lululemon hosted a 6-day ultramarathon where 10 women ran as far as possible in La Quinta, California while being studied by researchers. Their race kits, which aren’t available to the public (yet), have been engineered to help solve problems that female athletes face. Participants ran in the Beyondfeel Running Shoe ($158) which is designed to provide maximum cushioning, a smooth heel-to-toe glide and foam that specifically supports how the female foot lands.

Arc’teryx

New Arc’teryx Shoes for Climbers

Adventure ready: The brand just launched a new footwear collection for mountain athletes to support performance in the vertical world. The Vertex Alpine GTX ($250) is designed to tackle approaches on steep, technical terrain. The Sylvan ($200) is a trail shoe for mountain runners who need comfort in technical and rugged terrain. The Kragg ($160) is for quick and easy approaches and to wear in between pitches.

Liquid I.V.

Fresh Hydration

Fun and fresh: Liquid I.V. just dropped the Hydration Multiplier ($26 for a 14 pack) in raspberry lemon. The electrolyte mix is made with a proprietary blend that helps hydrate better than water but doesn’t include sugars or artificial sweeteners. Plus, it has eight different vitamins and nutrients to help with everyday well-being. Other flavors include lemon lime, white peach and green grape.

Alex Crane

A Lightweight Spring Tee

Wardrobe refresh: Alex Crane just dropped a long-sleeved version of its best-selling Sun Tee. The Long Sleeve Sun Tee ($75) is soft and airy and made of 100 percent sustainably grown French linen that’s pre-shrunk, so there’s no need to worry about shrinkage. It’s the perfect spring go-to shirt to throw on when you want to look casual but put together. It’s available in a striped print, bone white and black.
